Phew!

For those of you who gracefully stop by my blog to see that nothing new has been posted, I am sorry. It has been rough these past few days for me due to some interesting things. But all is better somewhat. Lets see where to begin....

Rebekah has painted her kitchen in some new colors. It was badly in need of it and now it is all pretty. There is a cream and red color that gracefully match together in harmony. I also put up some door trim around the front door. The house is looking better all the time. Now if we can do something about the lawn then we will be doing fine just fine.
I went out to dinner with the family last Friday. We went to Jimmie's diner over on Rock Road. Good place to eat some breakfast and the only
restaurant that I know of in Wichita that serves mush. Oh the days of my mom in the kitchen frying up some mush.
Yesterday I went and played Lunar mini golf in Town West Mall with Rebekah, Jason, Daniel, Michael and Tiffani. It was a blast. We all had a good time.
For some job news I transfered Stores in AutoZone. I will be going back to the West St. location. It will be a good change for me. Daniel Still hasn't had much luck in his quest for a job but I hope that he gets one soon.

The Weekend

Today is Saturday. For most of the working world it is the weekend to relax and take it all in. Then comes Sunday for church if you go and then comes the dreaded Monday. For me though I know that Saturdays and Sundays mean buzy days at AutoZone. Those people who have the weekend off to work on the cars. When I was in School I looked forward to Saturdays because it meant cartoons and sometimes sleeping in. Most days it was playing outside. On the rare occasion I cleaned my bedroom or mom hired someone to do it. I remember a fishing trip that me and my dad took years ago when he was the custodian at Parkview. We went down to Camp Shiloh and spend the day there. We also worked at the BGNC once in awhile. It's amazing how when you get started on one memory how the rest flood back as well. Me and my dad have spend some bonding time but now that he is working two jobs sometimes it's hard to find time. But he does it because he is the provider of the household and he knows what needs to be done. My mom calls it the umbrella of protection that covers the family. One of these days when I start a family of my own I will have the wisdom and the voice of experience to help me in my travels.
Yesterday evening Uncle Jay invited us to his house for a BBQ. Most of the family went. It's always a treat to get together with your family. You share stories and humor just spills out all over.
I called Samantha this morning on my way to Village Inn to meet Rebekah and mom for breakfast. Sam gets jealous when I go because I eat pancakes and she loves pancakes. I here about it every month on Angel Food Distribution day. I think she knows how to remedy the situation but oh well. I just enjoy them with the strawberry syrup.

Hello again to you all. My computer went down so I haven't had a chance to post any new blogs yet. I need a new hard drive. Sigh. My parents came back from their vacation all in one piece. They had a grand ole time visiting with the family. It was a nice get away for them. Daniel was able to come along for the trip to. He took some pictures and sent them around for us to see. Mom actually went fishing and caught some as well.
Recently my job has been getting to me. It's like I dread going to work some days and then other days I like to. I don't really know whats going on. Perhaps I need a change in something. I have been browsing the ads looking for something that sounds interesting but I haven't found a whole lot yet.
On another note I will be moving in October to a new apartment with my friend Rion and possibly another friend Rodney. I get along really well with Rion. We have worked together at AutoZone before he left. We are good friends. Last year when I talked about it with him he said that he wasn't ready to move from his parents house but he would be in about a year. Well one year later he is ready to go. He would like to find a part time job to help offset some of the bills that will be new but hasn't found anything yet. He is hopeful and I wish him the best. There is a 3 bedroom apartment on the corner of Maple and Tyler that we are looking at. If for some reason Rodney is unable to make the move then we have about 6 2 bedrooms apartments to make a decision on. It's all in cost, location, whats included and what's not.
My friend Samantha had a problem at her job last week with one of her coworkers talking bad about her and spreading rumors. She called me and we talked some untill I had to go back to work. She talked to her boss and they are going to try and work it out. I wish them luck

Sunday

Today has been a relaxing day. It is after all Sunday the day of rest. This is my weekend off from work so I was able to to go church again and help Rebekah out with the Angel Food ordering. It has been a slow month for orders which I believe it to be due to the holiday. Most people are out of town and on vacation. Hence why my folks are not here. I believe that they are due back on either Tuesday or Wednesday.

On a better note me and my friend Rion are looking into getting a two bedroom apartment so we can share. He believes that he is ready to flee the nest so to speak. I have flew the nest several times so I have some wisdom to share. We are in the process of checking out a couple of apartments on west Central and Ridge area. It was the only ones I found in our price range. There may be others out there but this is what we have found. By the time October rolls around when my current lease ends I will be packing it up and moving on. If Rion decides that this is not the best time to move I will be moving anyway. I can't do a studio apartment I decided. I'll be heading back to work tomorrow to finish up the rest of the week. Later

4th of July

First off I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July. Even though I am stuck in Wichita, KS working on the forth but oh well. I can celelbrate in my own way I suppose.
On July 2nd my parents took off to the cheese state(Wisconsion) to collect Daniel and then go on out to Michigan for the annual Renunion. They left Wichita at 12:30 in the AM driving a BRAND NEW Dodge Charger they rented. This sucker still had the 30 day temp tag on it. I checked in with them later on in the day to see how things are going. So far the only snag was when going through Chicago they were into some stop and go traffic problems. It was a 3 hour delay but they made it to Ann Arbour where the hotel is just fine the next day. I have been looking after the house making sure it is still standing when they return.
On a note from work I was able to sell today an engine and HD clutch set for a Ford 4.9 to a customer. That was a good $1,800.00 sale he paid in cash for. If only I made commision but thats ok. At least he is good to go. I posted some pictures of my trip to Garden City on my facebook page. So jump over if you want to look. Later

Ketchup(HA!)

Well I know that it has been like forever since I blogged. So what has been happening in my life. For starters Daniel took off for Wisconsin to live near Dara and to find a job. So far his luck has struck out. I hope for the best with him. I spent a weekend with Samantha at her place and had a good time. We went to the zoo and to the movies, spent some time in Garden City, went to a museum and monument rock. It was a blast for me to get out and have some fun. I hope that she had fun to. I will be getting pictures to post on my Facebook page soon.
My job has been well for me. Ross went on Vacation and left me in charge. I believe that I did pretty well for being a seasoned manager. When he came back he said "Good job. I am impressed." All to please you my boss. Nothing ever really happens but to go to work and sell auto parts. I enjoy my job but I keep thinking that there must be something else for me to do. Perhaps I need a change of pace. In September I will have been working there for 5 years. Who knows.
My family will be leaving Wichita at 12:01 in the AM on Wednesday to Green Bay Wisconsin to collect the other son and drive to Michigan. I won't be able to go this year but I was glad to spend a little time with them when they were down here earlier in the year. Speaking of dad he had a sleep study done a few weeks ago to see if he has some kind of sleep problem. He was fitted for a C-Pap machine and it seems to be doing well on it. Hopefully this will make him not be so tired. He did preach a good sermon yesterday on dealing with despair using John 14 as the reference. I brought my friend Rion to church. He said that he liked it and was very into it. I was glad that he was able to go. I have enjoyed listening to my dad preach as well as his Wednesday study of Ephesians. Me and Rebekah are going to be helping in the church on Sunday. We have much to plan. Hopefully this will work until later for postings. There are others that will soon follow.

What a week

To most of my readers who have given up on me posting a new blog I have one thing to say....I'm BACK!!!!

Today was a good day for me. I finally got my hair cut short for the summer. I started to look like a wearwolf. I also mowed my parents lawn and made it all pretty. I had lunch with Rebekah, Jason, and mom. There is a new restaurant called Clear Lakes Cafe over by 21st. When Samantha was here we ate breakfast there once. Very good food for the price. Later on I went to Bob's house and mowed his lawn and talked with Rebekah for awhile. We played a new game on Wii called Mario Cart. It was pretty fun racing the cars around the track. Tomorrrow Jason and Bob are going to see the new Indiana Jones movie so Rebekah invited me back to hang out after work and play more games. Work has been good these past few days. Lots of changed are going to be inforced over the next few weeks. Ross is going on vacation and has left me in charge of the store. Plus he gave me a list of things that he want's done before he gets back. I have no doubt that I will be able to acomplish the tasks laid before me. Also next week is VBS for the church in the evening. I hope to have a good turnout this year. On Wednesday my dad is leading a bible study in Ephesians. We had the first study this evening and high lighted some verses and went over them. Over the course of the next few days I'll be working in the morning and having the evening free. Good luck to all
