Marriage

Yesterday at Church my Pastor spoke on an interesting subject that I found interesting and informative as well. It was on divorce and marriage. The focal passage was in Matthew 19:1-12 and Deutermonony 24:1. The passage is talking about when is it ok to divorce and under what circumstances. The focal question is "What is God's perfect will for marriage?" Even though I am not married I feel that it's something for single people to think about. I want to have a good marriage and I want my marriage to glorify God. There are four reasons I believe that divorce was never God's plan and should not happen.

1.) God created male and female for each other. There was not a group of males or females to pick and choose or trade. There was one option

2.) We are to leave our parents house and be united with the spouse. In the beginning it was designed this way. We are to be glued to the spouse never to be separated.

3.) A man and woman are to become one flesh where God is inseparable. One mind and one spirit. 1 Corinthians 7:4 states that the bodies belong to each other. They are not your own anymore. You belong to your spouse. When a marriage takes place they become possession of each other. One in mind and spirit

4.) What God has joined together let no man separate. Every marriage is made in Heaven. God's design for marriage is to be permant.

Ephesians 5:22-25 gives the snapshot of marriage. Wives submit to your husbands. The husband is the head of the household as Christ is head of the church. So the husband is the spiritual guidance and leader of the house just as Christ is the head of the church. This does not mean that the husband is allowed to do anything that he wants and the head. The next verse states this. Husbands LOVE your wife's as Christ loves the church.

So in a sense I am glad to be in a family where my parents are together and look to God for the answers. I am thankful that I have a family where we love each other and can lean on others for help in the time of need.

Saturday

Yesterday I had Rebekah, Jason and Bob over for dinner. I made taco's and burrito's with the fixings. Rebekah brought chips and cheese dip for snacking. We played Clue and had a good time. After they left last night I cleaned up the kitchen and went to bed. I was pretty tired.
This week has been pretty good for me. I put new shocks on the back of my truck. When you talk about shocks the name that most people know is Monroe. What most don't know is that Gabirel was actually the first company to design the "Sensor-trac" model but they called it "VST." Gabriel then sold the patent to Monroe who then perfected it and placed it on their models. Years later Gabriel came up with the same idea and incorporated it into their line of shocks and struts. AutoZone sells Gabriel which I think are a good product. I purchased the mid top of the line shocks for my truck. Now off to Angel Food and work

Today I had the day off from work so I cleaned my apartment in preparation for having Rebekah and compay for dinner tomorrow. Before to long I need to go to Walmart and pick up the rest of the foods for dinner. I didn't do alot today but stayed indoors. It was a nice relaxing time to myself.
My new DVD-RW drive did came in the mail so I installed it and it's working great. I would like to get a faster processor than what I have but that will cost some money that I need to save up for. I am sold on AMD Athlon processors. They have served me and my friends well over the years. Untill next time

Mom's 54

Well this week has been pretty interesting. Yesterday was mom's 54th birthday. Us kids ordered pizza for dinner and a massage from Tiffani. It was a good time and mom enjoyed it much. This week at work has been rather interesting due to my store manager has been in the hospital. Unfortunely we don't know the extenct of why he is in the hospital. The DM is keeping a tight lid on whats happening. The rumor going around is that he had a stroke last week and is being released today. So the store is picking up the slack and I will be having some OT this week which will help alot.
Friday I am having new shocks put on the back of my truck. I also purchased a new Sony DVD-RW drive for my computer. I hate that the dumb drive sticks and doesn't open all the time.
Next week is Thanksgiving and I am looking forward to the get together with the Family and the Dallas game. Should be fun.

It's been a long time......

Well I know that it has been so long since I have blogged about anything. My last post was back in September. That is partly due to me not having Internet at my apartment. Now that I am back online I will be able to post new blogs more often. I am going to make a goal to post a few times a week if not more often.
So what has happened to me since September; I have been looking for a new full time job somewhere. I did have a part time job at Kelly Elementary but I had to quit for job conflict reasons. In order for my budget to work in my favor I need two jobs. I believe that I can make it with just one but it's a challenge.
I got the Internet back in my apartment last week so I can now keep in touch with people. I'm having Rebekah and company next week for dinner and games. I am going to make taco's and burritos with chips and salsa. Should be a good evening.
My parents got a new animal that they are taking care of. Her name is Lydia. She is a stray that was found by Uncle Jay's house wondering around. Mom took her in and spend some money at the vet getting her checked out. She has some kind of a bacteria infection on her skin and her front teeth are broken. She does not have heartworms or mange. Those were going to be the kicker for keeping her. She did treat her for hookworms and the bacteria infection is being treated with medicated shampoo twice a week. There is a dog wash in town that we have been taking her to. It's a lot easier than bleaching the tub and getting her in there. I had no idea that there was such a thing.
Nothing new to report in the woman area of my life. I tried to get a date with someone named Tina but that didn't happen. Kinda sucks to but it happens.
This evening we had dinner over at Kevin's house. Veggie soup, Chile, crackers and muffins. It was filling and delicious.
