This week has started out good, and it was fine untill today. Nothing major happend but I am tired emotionally at my job. Honestly thats all it is. Just a job, not a career. I am 27 and I have no idea what my career is. It's sad if you think about it. My sister has a career. My younger brother has a career. Where am I? I'm on the planet with the big question mark. I've considered many options and I just don't know what to do.
On another note I saw "Watchmen" with Jason and Robert today. If you have a weak stomach I would stay away from the movie. It's pretty bloody and gory. It was not what I expected but an interesting movie.
I wish for those who read this blog a happy a joyful week wherever you may be.

Watever
Last night I saw Fireproof for the first time. I must say that I really liked the movie. It had a good message about trusting God in your life. I would recomend it to anyone searching for truth and hope in this world.
Today me and mom took her dog to the dog wash and bathed Lydia. She really smelled horrible. I don't know what was worse, her or her being wet. I also got a new muffler and tail pipe for my truck. So now I'm not so loud driving down the street.
My job is going pretty good. I'm still looking for something full time that is stable. No bites but I am hopeful.
Well I don't know what else to say so.....

Reflection
This blog is for a reflection on my life and what I have seen and learned in the past few weeks not only at my new job but in the world as well.
Lets start at the job and work forward....This week Dillon's is training me for a FES(Front End Supervisor) position which is what I was hired to do along with working in the Customer Care desk. As part of this job I am responsible to make sure the checkers and sackers get out to lunch and break on time as well as answer questions and take care of upset customers when problems arise. I also jump on a register to check if needed. I have already staked my claim today to earn the respect of the young sackers I worked with today. I half to hound them to make sure they stay busy. I am the third oldest person who works this job. The lead person is probably in her 40's and the chipper girl is probably in her early 20's and the guy is mid 20's. The two other guys who work this position are under 18 and attend High School. So I ask myself "Why would Dillon's hire kid's to take a position of responsibility?" I have yet to find an answer. Perhaps I might find one and I might not. I can however give my knowledge of management experience to these two kids and I hope to make a difference.
Spiritual life....When you are depressed and down on your luck and you think that God has forgotten about you God has a way to snap you back to reality to say. "Hey, I am here and I will never leave you my child." Whether it's in a song, what someone says to you, in the bible or just a long lost memory.
There are times when I get caught up in the world around me that I forget about my own spiritually and I leave God outside. I need to be dong better in keeping him number one in my life. Everything that I have belongs to him. My job, my money, the clothes on my back, even the car that I drive. I own nothing and I give it all to the creator of the universe. There is a song that was sung by Clay Crosse called "I Surrender All" There is a verse in the song that says this..
"Everything I am, all I've done, and all I've known now belongs to you, the life I live is not my own Just as Abraham laid Isaac on the sacrificial fire If all I have is all that you desire I surrender all." I have herd this song several times in my life but the song never really spoke to me until recently. I resolve to give God my all. I am clay and he is the potter.
Personal life....One of my friends recently purchased a 46" LCD flat screen TV from Best Buy anons with a new entrainment stand. Now I realize that I don't have alot of money to throw around and I would like to own a 46" TV one day but I am happy with what I have. I may not have the best TV or the fastest car or the best house or the greatest job but I am happy with what I have. What about those things that people don't think about?
How about having both parents alive and married? What about having the support of a family that loves you? What about having friends that you can depend on? Are these not riches? I tend to think so.

Update
Good evening to my readers. Today was my offical first day at Dillon's. I spend two earlier days in the week training so I know what to do. I worked on the U-Scan self check register today. I met most of the people that I'm going to be working with and have taken a liking to most of them. I think that this job will suit me nicely.
Earlier in the week I had lunch with a lady that I met online. I really enjoyed talking with her and getting to know her. I hope that we will be able to get together again soon. She has the greatest smile and outlook on life.
I think thats all for me tonight. Have fun and may God bless your week.

Well I realized that I haven't posted a blog since last November. Well alot has happend to me since then so I'd though that I would provide a brief snoponsis of whats going on.
For starters I have been fired from my job at AutoZone on February 6, 2009 after devoting five years of my life to the company. I don't want to go into detalis about the incident. I was devistated for several days worried about how I am going to pay bills and what's going to happen to me. I filed for unemployment the next day to get the ball rolling on that. For several weeks I punded the pavement looking for work only to not get anywhere. I applied for job after job. I sought the advise of my two uncles Jay and Kevin. The only good thing about not working is being able to go to church on Sunday's. Then one day my prayers were answerd. I went to a job interview with Dillon's and with RGIS Inventoy Group. I was hired on the spot at both interviews. The jobs are only part time but I can enter the workforce and hopefully be able to move up once again. I am grateful that God has given me these jobs in spite of the billons of other people out there without work.
Next I have redid my apartment with some new furniture about the middle of January. I paid Rebekah to come and help me out for about two weeks. Money well spent if I do say so myself. She did an excellent job and my apartment is staying clean and organized.
Third my younger brother got engaged over Christmas. It's a big deal for us as we welcome Dara into our family. She is a wonderful person and I wish her and Daniel the best of luck in the future. Dara did move down here for a few months and I have gotten to know her.
Well I don't really know what else to write. I am going to hopefully keep this up more.

Marriage
Yesterday at Church my Pastor spoke on an interesting subject that I found interesting and informative as well. It was on divorce and marriage. The focal passage was in Matthew 19:1-12 and Deutermonony 24:1. The passage is talking about when is it ok to divorce and under what circumstances. The focal question is "What is God's perfect will for marriage?" Even though I am not married I feel that it's something for single people to think about. I want to have a good marriage and I want my marriage to glorify God. There are four reasons I believe that divorce was never God's plan and should not happen.
1.) God created male and female for each other. There was not a group of males or females to pick and choose or trade. There was one option
2.) We are to leave our parents house and be united with the spouse. In the beginning it was designed this way. We are to be glued to the spouse never to be separated.
3.) A man and woman are to become one flesh where God is inseparable. One mind and one spirit. 1 Corinthians 7:4 states that the bodies belong to each other. They are not your own anymore. You belong to your spouse. When a marriage takes place they become possession of each other. One in mind and spirit
4.) What God has joined together let no man separate. Every marriage is made in Heaven. God's design for marriage is to be permant.
Ephesians 5:22-25 gives the snapshot of marriage. Wives submit to your husbands. The husband is the head of the household as Christ is head of the church. So the husband is the spiritual guidance and leader of the house just as Christ is the head of the church. This does not mean that the husband is allowed to do anything that he wants and the head. The next verse states this. Husbands LOVE your wife's as Christ loves the church.
So in a sense I am glad to be in a family where my parents are together and look to God for the answers. I am thankful that I have a family where we love each other and can lean on others for help in the time of need.

Saturday
Yesterday I had Rebekah, Jason and Bob over for dinner. I made taco's and burrito's with the fixings. Rebekah brought chips and cheese dip for snacking. We played Clue and had a good time. After they left last night I cleaned up the kitchen and went to bed. I was pretty tired.
This week has been pretty good for me. I put new shocks on the back of my truck. When you talk about shocks the name that most people know is Monroe. What most don't know is that Gabirel was actually the first company to design the "Sensor-trac" model but they called it "VST." Gabriel then sold the patent to Monroe who then perfected it and placed it on their models. Years later Gabriel came up with the same idea and incorporated it into their line of shocks and struts. AutoZone sells Gabriel which I think are a good product. I purchased the mid top of the line shocks for my truck. Now off to Angel Food and work

Today I had the day off from work so I cleaned my apartment in preparation for having Rebekah and compay for dinner tomorrow. Before to long I need to go to Walmart and pick up the rest of the foods for dinner. I didn't do alot today but stayed indoors. It was a nice relaxing time to myself.
My new DVD-RW drive did came in the mail so I installed it and it's working great. I would like to get a faster processor than what I have but that will cost some money that I need to save up for. I am sold on AMD Athlon processors. They have served me and my friends well over the years. Untill next time

Mom's 54
Well this week has been pretty interesting. Yesterday was mom's 54th birthday. Us kids ordered pizza for dinner and a massage from Tiffani. It was a good time and mom enjoyed it much. This week at work has been rather interesting due to my store manager has been in the hospital. Unfortunely we don't know the extenct of why he is in the hospital. The DM is keeping a tight lid on whats happening. The rumor going around is that he had a stroke last week and is being released today. So the store is picking up the slack and I will be having some OT this week which will help alot.
Friday I am having new shocks put on the back of my truck. I also purchased a new Sony DVD-RW drive for my computer. I hate that the dumb drive sticks and doesn't open all the time.
Next week is Thanksgiving and I am looking forward to the get together with the Family and the Dallas game. Should be fun.

It's been a long time......
Well I know that it has been so long since I have blogged about anything. My last post was back in September. That is partly due to me not having Internet at my apartment. Now that I am back online I will be able to post new blogs more often. I am going to make a goal to post a few times a week if not more often.
So what has happened to me since September; I have been looking for a new full time job somewhere. I did have a part time job at Kelly Elementary but I had to quit for job conflict reasons. In order for my budget to work in my favor I need two jobs. I believe that I can make it with just one but it's a challenge.
I got the Internet back in my apartment last week so I can now keep in touch with people. I'm having Rebekah and company next week for dinner and games. I am going to make taco's and burritos with chips and salsa. Should be a good evening.
My parents got a new animal that they are taking care of. Her name is Lydia. She is a stray that was found by Uncle Jay's house wondering around. Mom took her in and spend some money at the vet getting her checked out. She has some kind of a bacteria infection on her skin and her front teeth are broken. She does not have heartworms or mange. Those were going to be the kicker for keeping her. She did treat her for hookworms and the bacteria infection is being treated with medicated shampoo twice a week. There is a dog wash in town that we have been taking her to. It's a lot easier than bleaching the tub and getting her in there. I had no idea that there was such a thing.
Nothing new to report in the woman area of my life. I tried to get a date with someone named Tina but that didn't happen. Kinda sucks to but it happens.
This evening we had dinner over at Kevin's house. Veggie soup, Chile, crackers and muffins. It was filling and delicious.

Rain, rain and more
Today I was greeted by a line of thunderstorms that decided to drown Wichita today in 10 inches of rain. Not only did I half to go to work but I was the go getter in assisting with wiper blade installations and I went and got us lunch for the store as well. So I had to DRIVE down West St. that floods so bad to get lunch. in a Ford Ranger that chug down the street. In addition since there was alot of slow periods they were spend looking out the windows and watching the cars speed by and betting on which ones were going to flood out. There were two cars that I wondered what was going to happen to them. One was a black Honda Civic that tore down the street going about 30 MPH and creating a tidal wave. The second was a small red car that was punching through the water when a 4x4 Chevy came through the water and made a tidal wave that engulfed the car in a wall of water. He wasn't stopping and was very inconsiderate of the small car that was making it. Needless to say I only saw about 4 cars that got stalled in the river that was being made before us.
Since my last post I determined that I do not have TB and that I am physically able to clean classrooms at Kelly Elementary. Last week I had to take a physical agility test. That was on Thursday. Friday I woke up to the lower half of my body aching like nothing else. I was in pain for about 4 days. Samantha said it was due to my muscles not being worked enough. She also seemed to think that is was pretty funny. Ha ha ha. Speaking of Samantha she is working at the Wal-Mart in Garden City as a cashier to help with her income as well. She likes the job. It's low stress on her which is good. This with the Mosaic job is helping her pay off the debt.
Well this is all for now. Good luck to you all

Gone so long
I know that it has been quite awile since my last post so I will update you on what is going on with my life.
I transfered back to the AutoZone on West St. a few weeks ago. Now that I am working with Arlan and his crew I am glad to be back where I am appreciated and not treated like a work horse. It is a more relaxed enviromnent and I like the people that I work with. I also am starting a second job with USD 259 as a part time custodian in the evening time. I'll be working at Kelly Elementry cleaning part of the school. An extra 25 hours a week to help with bills. The downside is that my social callendar is going to be very little now. I feel that if I can pay off my debt and save money like I should have been doing a long time ago then I will be doing fine just fine.
This week was the annual labor day Plank gathering at Kevins. What a time we had with the croquet game, stadium checkers, banagrams and the weenie roast. It was nice of Bob and Jason to join us as well. I missed mom fishing but I am sure that there will be other chances.
I have spoken with Samantha a few times this week. She meet a friend named Eric and have been spending quite a fair amount of time together. I don't know that much about him but I know that she is pretty smart and knows when a guy is good. I wish them the best of luck

Phew!
For those of you who gracefully stop by my blog to see that nothing new has been posted, I am sorry. It has been rough these past few days for me due to some interesting things. But all is better somewhat. Lets see where to begin....
Rebekah has painted her kitchen in some new colors. It was badly in need of it and now it is all pretty. There is a cream and red color that gracefully match together in harmony. I also put up some door trim around the front door. The house is looking better all the time. Now if we can do something about the lawn then we will be doing fine just fine.
I went out to dinner with the family last Friday. We went to Jimmie's diner over on Rock Road. Good place to eat some breakfast and the only
restaurant that I know of in Wichita that serves mush. Oh the days of my mom in the kitchen frying up some mush.
Yesterday I went and played Lunar mini golf in Town West Mall with Rebekah, Jason, Daniel, Michael and Tiffani. It was a blast. We all had a good time.
For some job news I transfered Stores in AutoZone. I will be going back to the West St. location. It will be a good change for me. Daniel Still hasn't had much luck in his quest for a job but I hope that he gets one soon.

The Weekend
Today is Saturday. For most of the working world it is the weekend to relax and take it all in. Then comes Sunday for church if you go and then comes the dreaded Monday. For me though I know that Saturdays and Sundays mean buzy days at AutoZone. Those people who have the weekend off to work on the cars. When I was in School I looked forward to Saturdays because it meant cartoons and sometimes sleeping in. Most days it was playing outside. On the rare occasion I cleaned my bedroom or mom hired someone to do it. I remember a fishing trip that me and my dad took years ago when he was the custodian at Parkview. We went down to Camp Shiloh and spend the day there. We also worked at the BGNC once in awhile. It's amazing how when you get started on one memory how the rest flood back as well. Me and my dad have spend some bonding time but now that he is working two jobs sometimes it's hard to find time. But he does it because he is the provider of the household and he knows what needs to be done. My mom calls it the umbrella of protection that covers the family. One of these days when I start a family of my own I will have the wisdom and the voice of experience to help me in my travels.
Yesterday evening Uncle Jay invited us to his house for a BBQ. Most of the family went. It's always a treat to get together with your family. You share stories and humor just spills out all over.
I called Samantha this morning on my way to Village Inn to meet Rebekah and mom for breakfast. Sam gets jealous when I go because I eat pancakes and she loves pancakes. I here about it every month on Angel Food Distribution day. I think she knows how to remedy the situation but oh well. I just enjoy them with the strawberry syrup.

Hello again to you all. My computer went down so I haven't had a chance to post any new blogs yet. I need a new hard drive. Sigh. My parents came back from their vacation all in one piece. They had a grand ole time visiting with the family. It was a nice get away for them. Daniel was able to come along for the trip to. He took some pictures and sent them around for us to see. Mom actually went fishing and caught some as well.
Recently my job has been getting to me. It's like I dread going to work some days and then other days I like to. I don't really know whats going on. Perhaps I need a change in something. I have been browsing the ads looking for something that sounds interesting but I haven't found a whole lot yet.
On another note I will be moving in October to a new apartment with my friend Rion and possibly another friend Rodney. I get along really well with Rion. We have worked together at AutoZone before he left. We are good friends. Last year when I talked about it with him he said that he wasn't ready to move from his parents house but he would be in about a year. Well one year later he is ready to go. He would like to find a part time job to help offset some of the bills that will be new but hasn't found anything yet. He is hopeful and I wish him the best. There is a 3 bedroom apartment on the corner of Maple and Tyler that we are looking at. If for some reason Rodney is unable to make the move then we have about 6 2 bedrooms apartments to make a decision on. It's all in cost, location, whats included and what's not.
My friend Samantha had a problem at her job last week with one of her coworkers talking bad about her and spreading rumors. She called me and we talked some untill I had to go back to work. She talked to her boss and they are going to try and work it out. I wish them luck
Recently my job has been getting to me. It's like I dread going to work some days and then other days I like to. I don't really know whats going on. Perhaps I need a change in something. I have been browsing the ads looking for something that sounds interesting but I haven't found a whole lot yet.

Sunday
Today has been a relaxing day. It is after all Sunday the day of rest. This is my weekend off from work so I was able to to go church again and help Rebekah out with the Angel Food ordering. It has been a slow month for orders which I believe it to be due to the holiday. Most people are out of town and on vacation. Hence why my folks are not here. I believe that they are due back on either Tuesday or Wednesday.
On a better note me and my friend Rion are looking into getting a two bedroom apartment so we can share. He believes that he is ready to flee the nest so to speak. I have flew the nest several times so I have some wisdom to share. We are in the process of checking out a couple of apartments on west Central and Ridge area. It was the only ones I found in our price range. There may be others out there but this is what we have found. By the time October rolls around when my current lease ends I will be packing it up and moving on. If Rion decides that this is not the best time to move I will be moving anyway. I can't do a studio apartment I decided. I'll be heading back to work tomorrow to finish up the rest of the week. Later

4th of July
First off I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July. Even though I am stuck in Wichita, KS working on the forth but oh well. I can celelbrate in my own way I suppose.
On July 2nd my parents took off to the cheese state(Wisconsion) to collect Daniel and then go on out to Michigan for the annual Renunion. They left Wichita at 12:30 in the AM driving a BRAND NEW Dodge Charger they rented. This sucker still had the 30 day temp tag on it. I checked in with them later on in the day to see how things are going. So far the only snag was when going through Chicago they were into some stop and go traffic problems. It was a 3 hour delay but they made it to Ann Arbour where the hotel is just fine the next day. I have been looking after the house making sure it is still standing when they return.
On a note from work I was able to sell today an engine and HD clutch set for a Ford 4.9 to a customer. That was a good $1,800.00 sale he paid in cash for. If only I made commision but thats ok. At least he is good to go. I posted some pictures of my trip to Garden City on my facebook page. So jump over if you want to look. Later

Ketchup(HA!)
Well I know that it has been like forever since I blogged. So what has been happening in my life. For starters Daniel took off for Wisconsin to live near Dara and to find a job. So far his luck has struck out. I hope for the best with him. I spent a weekend with Samantha at her place and had a good time. We went to the zoo and to the movies, spent some time in Garden City, went to a museum and monument rock. It was a blast for me to get out and have some fun. I hope that she had fun to. I will be getting pictures to post on my Facebook page soon.
My job has been well for me. Ross went on Vacation and left me in charge. I believe that I did pretty well for being a seasoned manager. When he came back he said "Good job. I am impressed." All to please you my boss. Nothing ever really happens but to go to work and sell auto parts. I enjoy my job but I keep thinking that there must be something else for me to do. Perhaps I need a change of pace. In September I will have been working there for 5 years. Who knows.
My family will be leaving Wichita at 12:01 in the AM on Wednesday to Green Bay Wisconsin to collect the other son and drive to Michigan. I won't be able to go this year but I was glad to spend a little time with them when they were down here earlier in the year. Speaking of dad he had a sleep study done a few weeks ago to see if he has some kind of sleep problem. He was fitted for a C-Pap machine and it seems to be doing well on it. Hopefully this will make him not be so tired. He did preach a good sermon yesterday on dealing with despair using John 14 as the reference. I brought my friend Rion to church. He said that he liked it and was very into it. I was glad that he was able to go. I have enjoyed listening to my dad preach as well as his Wednesday study of Ephesians. Me and Rebekah are going to be helping in the church on Sunday. We have much to plan. Hopefully this will work until later for postings. There are others that will soon follow.

What a week
To most of my readers who have given up on me posting a new blog I have one thing to say....I'm BACK!!!!
Today was a good day for me. I finally got my hair cut short for the summer. I started to look like a wearwolf. I also mowed my parents lawn and made it all pretty. I had lunch with Rebekah, Jason, and mom. There is a new restaurant called Clear Lakes Cafe over by 21st. When Samantha was here we ate breakfast there once. Very good food for the price. Later on I went to Bob's house and mowed his lawn and talked with Rebekah for awhile. We played a new game on Wii called Mario Cart. It was pretty fun racing the cars around the track. Tomorrrow Jason and Bob are going to see the new Indiana Jones movie so Rebekah invited me back to hang out after work and play more games. Work has been good these past few days. Lots of changed are going to be inforced over the next few weeks. Ross is going on vacation and has left me in charge of the store. Plus he gave me a list of things that he want's done before he gets back. I have no doubt that I will be able to acomplish the tasks laid before me. Also next week is VBS for the church in the evening. I hope to have a good turnout this year. On Wednesday my dad is leading a bible study in Ephesians. We had the first study this evening and high lighted some verses and went over them. Over the course of the next few days I'll be working in the morning and having the evening free. Good luck to all

This week on Monday was Memorial day. A day to remember those loved ones that have passed on. We talked and reminiscence about the days once passed. It was good to see all of the family that doesn't live close by and chat with them. For breakfast we had the egg sausage casserole, biscuits, gravy, cinnamon buns and OJ. It was very filling and delicious. Afterwards we talked and hung out at the house until I went to work. That evening though a storm blew through Wichita and dumped rain and hail on the city. It was very wild. I love storms and to see them develop and show off their power is interesting to me. I was able to check out the hail damage to my truck which was very minimal. I was shocked. I did park under a tree at work and at home so I'm sure that helped.
Today Wednesday I helped Rebekah clean the basement and continue to work on planning for the garage sale. The garage part is mostly clean. The basement is the most difficult task to do. There is so much Duff down there it's ridiculous. I don't know how one family can accumulate crap like mad. Oh well, more stuff to sell.
